The first trailer for Sucker Punch has appeared online, and it's a gaming geek boy's wet dream.
300 and Watchmen director Zach Snyder has created his own fantasy, which takes place in the imagination of a young girl.
Lemony Snicket's Emily Browning is Baby Doll, whose evil stepfather has her committed to an institution. Threatened with a lobotomy, she retreats into an imaginary world with a bevvy of scantily clad women, including Vanessa Hudgeons, Carla Cugino, Jena Malone and Abbie Cornish. Judging by this first trailer, it looks like the cast of Chicago have invaded Shutter Island.
I suppose it's visually stunning if you're the sort who spends hours in front of a PS3; if there is a great story, it's going to be hidden in the absurdity of having heroines fight battles in corsets and stockings. Sucker Punch is released on 25th March - watch the high-res trailer over at Apple.
