The sense of humour seems to be present and correct

The latest trailer for upcoming vampire remake Fright Night 3D has appeared online, and we are gradually getting more sold on this project.

A couple of shifts in tone keep the entertainment level high throughout the trailer, and we get to see the cast clearly having fun with their characters. Particular highlights are Colin Farrell as the excellently dark and sinister vampire Jerry, and David Tennant's turn as an eccentric stage magician/vampire hunter. The sense of humour seems to be present and correct, with the "how to pick a lock" mobile app and the Twilight reference being our favourite laughs on show.

The whole thing does still look a little visually dark though, and it does beg the question of just how effective 3D will be in this instance. Hopefully this will not be a problem however, and we can enjoy the work from a great cast, which also includes Anton Yelchin and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Fright Night 3D opens in September, after its premiere at Empire Big Screen this August.
