The trailer for The Debt has appeared online, and it's looking likely to be one of the biggest thrillers of the year.
John Madden, he of Shakespeare In Love, Mrs Brown and Captain Corelli's Mandolin fame, directs a screenplay that boasts everyone's current favourites Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn among the five writers.
But the most exciting part is the cast: Sam Worthington, Marton Csokas and Jessica Chastain are three young Israeli Mossad agents, who in 1965 are tasked with capturing and killing a Nazi surgeon. We get to see them 30 years later in the form of Ciaran Hinds, Tom Wilkinson and Helen Mirren, when their past comes back to haunt them. In this trailer we see references to a secret that has been kept hidden, so it's all very exciting.
The Debt is released in the US on 29th December, and we should be getting it the same time.
