Robert Downey Jr’s Due Date
The Hangover director Todd Phillips pairs up Zach Galifianakis with RDJ in this new comedy.
Let us stop for a minute to give our thanks, because any day when there's new Robert Downey Jr footage is a blessed day.
It's the second trailer this week for The Hangover's hirsute Zach Galifianakis, who teams up with the director Todd Phillips once more for Due Date.
With a similar vibe to last year's hit comedy, Downey Jr is a daddy-to-be forced to hitch a ride cross-country with an aspiring actor (Galifianakis) to make it to his child's birth. While the comedy on show isn't particularly inspired, this pairing will make it work - although I do wish Downey Jr wasn't the straight man in the duo.
The film features RDJ's Kiss Kiss Bang Bang buddy Michelle Monaghan as his wife, and co-stars Jamie Foxx, Juliette Lewis and Alan Arkin. The US get it 5th November.
