First Let Me In Trailer
Cloverfield director Matt Reeves remakes Let The Right One In for some silly reason.
The first trailer for Let Me In is now online.
It's only been a couple of years since Tomas Alfredson's masterful adaption of John Ajvide Lindqvist's Swedish vampire novel Let The Right One In, but a Hollywood remake has been deemed necessary.
It is the first project for Matt Reeves since he burst onto the scene with the awesome Cloverfield, so it may not be all bad. Reeves also writes the screenplay for this chilling and moving love story between a lonely boy, Owen (The Road's Kodi Smit-McPhee), and the strange and secretive 12-year-old Abby (Kick-Ass legend Chloe Moretz).
As the town is subjected to grisly murders, Owen comes to terms with the fact that his new friend is a savage vampire. Jugding by first reviews, Reeves has apparently toned down some of the more disturbing aspects of the novel, which should come as no surprise. However, with such a talented cast, which includes Richard Jenkins as Abby's guardian, it may be an acceptable companion piece, and hopefully an introduction to the original.
