The first restricted trailer for 30 Days Of Night: Dark Days has been released.
The sequel to David Slade's brilliant adaptation of Steve Niles' comic book 30 Days Of Night is now going straight to DVD in the hands of Ben Ketai.
Lost actress Kiele Sanchez replaces Melissa George as Stella, survivor of the vampire onslaught in her Alaskan town. She travels the world, trying to convince others that the vicious bloodsuckers exist. In Los Angeles she meets a bunch of fellow survivors, including fellow Lostie Harold Perrineau, who persuade her to take on vamp queen Mia Kirshner.
Given the success of 30 Days Of Night, and the fact this story is coming from Niles himself, it's very surprising this isn't getting a theatrical release. We shall see if there's good reason this October.
