Update On The Crow Remake
There's an offer out to a major actor for the reboot, which begins shooting this year with a 'very different vision'.
A lot of information has come out regarding the planned remake of The Crow.
Alex Proyas' 1994 version of the graphic novel is a cult favourite, thanks to Brandon Lee's final performance as a man avenging his murder, and that of his fiancée. Speaking to MTV, producer Edward R Pressman has revealed that shooting will start this year, and that an offer is out to "a major actor".
Blade and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen director Stephen Norrington is on board, and has recruited Avatar production designer Rob Stromberg to execute his "very different" vision. Pressman adds that this time, the crow itself will have a bigger role in guiding the character of Eric Draven: "The Crow itself is a character in this movie: it's not just a bird. It's got a personality... and a more active role in the story."
The film will have an urban setting, like the original, but also be located in the South-West.
