Transformers Producer For Hunchback Adaptation
Lorenzo di Bonaventura to turn Victor Hugo's novel into a Pirates Of The Caribbean type affair.
It's made its way on screen dozens of times, but now it seems Victor Hugo's The Hunchback Of Notre Dame is getting the big-budget action treatment.
Transformers producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has taken on a pitch from Willie Block and Jake Emanuel, using their own ideas, and loosely based on the original story. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount are planning to create a Pirates Of The Caribbean style romp.
The story of Quasimodo and Esmeralda was most famously presented to cinema goers in the form of William Dieterle's 1939 classic, and Disney's 1996 animation.
