The Wolverine Official Synopsis
Confirms what we all already knew - Logan heads to Japan.
It’s been clear for some time that James Mangold’s upcoming The Wolverine will follow the popular comic book run, by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller, that saw Logan head to Japan.
We now have confirmation of this via an official synopsis, courtesy of JoBlo;
"Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, Samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past that will leave him forever changed."
The Japanese shooting location and casting choices to date have made this unsurprising, but still a welcome direction for the character to head in. We are looking forward to seeing the new take on Wolverine, and if Mangold’s Twitter feed is anything to go by, his enthusiasm for the project is clear; “Amazing images being made. Great actors in this show. Exhilarating to direct in multiple languages. Real emotion transcends language.”
