Sir Ridley Scott Talks Prometheus Extra Blu-Ray Footage
Director mentions there could be twenty to thirty minutes more on home release.
In an interesting interview with Collider, Sir Ridley Scott has revealed a few tidbits of information on the edited scenes from Prometheus, indicating that there could be a substantial amount of extra footage on the blu-ray release.
When asked about the extra scenes, the director speculates that there could be around 20 to 30 minutes more available, which sounds like a good deal to us. For our two cents, as much as we enjoyed Prometheus, it was undeniably flawed (here’s our review), and the addition of new footage could go some way to repairing a lot of the script problems.
The interview also includes a brief mention of Scott's vision for his planned Blade Runner sequel, although it is really just a short description of some visual ideas. There is also some discussion of just what one of those deleted scenes included.
