Sinister Sequel Planned By Blumhouse

Sinister was amongst the pick of last year’s horror offerings, with the creepy chiller continuing to dish out the sleepless nights when it was released on DVD and Blu-ray last month.

It will come as no surprise that Blumhouse, the production company of producer Jason Blum, now have their sights set on a sequel. It’s not like Blumhouse are averse to the odd follow-up, with Paranormal Activity continuing to churn them out, and Insidious 2 also in the works.

Deadline report that the company are now looking at a second visit to the world of Mr. Boogie, with Scott Derrickson unlikely to return behind the camera, but likely to pitch up in a producing role with Blum and his co-sriter C. Robert Cargill.

In the meantime, Derrickson and Cargill are working at an adaptation of Stephen King short The Breathing Method, as well as the movie version of celebrated video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
