Sharlto Copley Drops Out Of I Am Number Four
Timothy Olyphant to take his place as alien Alex Pettyfer's mentor in the sci-fi flick.
District 9 star Sharlto Copley has dropped out of the Dreamworks project I Am Number Four.
The South African actor was due to play the mentor to Alex Pettyfer's alien, one of nine beings who disguise themselves as high school students. With the official word that Copley is too busy with his A-Team promotion commitments (despite rumours that there was a disagreement with helmer DJ Caruso over the use of prosthetics - Copley wanted them, the Disturbia director did not), Timothy Olyphant is set to replace him. Olyphant is currently starring in the acclaimed FX show Justified, after being seen in The Crazies, The Girl Next Door and Live Free or Die Hard.
Michael Bay is producing this adaptation of the teen novel, written by James Frey and Jobie Hughes.
