Sam Mendes Releases Skyfall Video Blog
Peter Jackson style insight into the production of the latest in the Bond franchise.
Released today over at official site 007.com, Skyfall director Sam Mendes has released a short video blog detailing his love for the Bond series.
It's more of an interview than a blog, and looks distinctly like the sort of thing that would pop up as a DVD extra, but it's always good to hear from an interesting director like Mendes. This is set to be the first of many videos over the coming months, in a similar vein to how Peter Jackson has been chronicling his time on the set of The Hobbit.
There's only the smallest flicker of Skyfall footage here, instead focusing on the to-camera interview and assorted shots from behind the scenes. Mendes discusses his admiration for Daniel Craig's interpretation of Bond, shooting in his home country and how he came to the decision to shoot a Bond film in the 90 second video. We look forward to hearing more on this front, as our anticipation for the films October 26th release grows.
