Prometheus Will Be Rated 15
PG-13 fears put to rest as the R rating is confirmed.
Rejoice! The nasty rumours that Sir Ridley Scott’s upcoming science fiction epic, Prometheus, would be aiming for a PG-13 rating in the states have been scotched once and for all, with news earlier this week confirming the film will receive the dreaded by studios/ wished for by fans R.
The BBFC will be rating the film as a 15 in the UK, thanks to some “Intense images and brief language.” With the Alien sort-of-prequel set to be released in just three agonising weeks, we couldn’t be happier with this news.
Truth be told, we’ve been getting pretty fed up with trailers, stills and featurettes for our most anticipated film of the year, having effectively seen the entire production in flick-book form by now, but have had to break cover to bring this joyous news.
