Nicolas Cage Drops Out Of Trespass - UPDATED
The actor returns to play his original part of Nicole Kidman's husband, with a Twilight star now as lead villain.
UPDATE 4th August: Deadline are reporting that Nicolas Cage has returned to the project in his original role as the husband. Former OC star Cam Gigandet, famous for playing sadistic vampire James in Twilight, will now play the lead villain.
Nicolas Cage has dropped out of Joel Schumacher's Trespass, just two weeks before shooting was due to begin.
The star had originally signed on to play Nicole Kidman's husband, with the couple held captive by four thugs who want money. An unexpected discovery of betrayal and deception follows in the action adventure.
However, Cage decided he wanted to play the lead kidnapper, and Liev Schreiber is currently being lined up to play hubbie instead. Now Deadline are exclusively reporting that last week Cage left the project completely, heading off on holiday.
The latest news is that Cage is definitely not coming back, and that Millenium Films are looking for a replacement with a view to shoot in Louisiana this August.
