Monsters Director Edwards Lines Up Next Film
Gareth to work with Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov on a new sci-fi film.
His debut feature is garnering an incredible amount of buzz, so news of Gareth Edwards' next project is a big story.
Made for a relatively miniscule amount (less than $1m is the official line), Monsters is released on 12th November, and is one of the most incredible sci-fi movies in recent years. A moving story about two people crossing an alien-infected Mexico to the safety of the US border, it's stunning and thought-provoking.
Now writer, director, production designer and special effects designer Edwards is to team up with Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov. Edwards will direct and Bekmambetov produce "an epic human story, set in a futuristic world without humanity", report Deadline. Edwards will be working on the script shortly, and if its as good as his debut, then we're going to have something very special on our hands.
