Martyrs Director Casts Jessica Biel

Martyrs helmer Pascal Laugier has cast Jessica Biel in his English-language debut The Tall Man.
The French writer and director was responsible for, in my humble opinion, the single most disturbing film ever created with 2008's Martyrs, but will probably be toning it down somewhat for Biel. She will play a woman who must track down the mysterious Tall Man who has kidnapped her child. Laugier told Screen Daily that he likes to think of the project as "a sort of Panic Room... outside!" He continued: "It is a 'woman in jeopardy' movie with a lot of twists and a strong female character that you feel very connected to."
His budget is $15m, and shooting begins in Vancouver this September. Laugier was meant to be working on the remake of Hellraiser, but that is no longer happening in his twisted hands.
