We get our first look at the new Superman film from Zack Snyder.
Two versions of the same teaser trailer for Zack Snyder’s new take on Superman, Man of Steel, have been released, and they’re not quite what we expected.
This is only a short, almost mood, piece, but there is the unmistakable stamp of producer Christopher Nolan on this one. It’s an introspective little trailer, giving us a heavy, straight-faced look at a presumably pre-Superman Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) going about his business on a fishing trawler, before a quick glimpse at Cavill flying through the air in costume. This is a superb trailer, being so teasing that If it weren’t for that final shot, we wouldn’t have a clue that this was a Superman film. Man of Steel hits cinemas 14th June 2013, and we can't wait.
There’s a second version below, with Russell Crowe’s Jor-El providing the voice-over as opposed to Kevin Costner’s Jonathan Kent.
Next summer, “Man of Steel” is coming to the big screen. The film is from director Zack Snyder and producers Charles Roven, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Deborah Snyder. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer & Nolan, based upon Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster and published by DC Comics.
