Juan Of The Dead Clip Online
We get our first look at the upcoming zombie slacker comedy.
With Cuban zombie comedy Juan of the Dead released in the UK on May the 4th, the folks over at the good ship Empire have gotten hold of a clip of the film.
Set in a future Cuba which suffers from infestations of the undead, Juan and his buddies spot an oppurtunity to make a quick Peso offering an exterminator service. It looks to be silly, bloody fun much in the vein of Shaun of the Dead, which the title clearly alludes to. We are told that Juan also includes some sharp satire of Cuban politics, and should be bringing you our full review next week.
We're very much looking forward to this one, and if it's anything like the British "zomedy" it is riffing on, we're sure to be in for a laugh or ten. The Havana setting is sure to freshen things up a little, and from what we've seen the film certainly doesn't seem to be shying away from the blood 'n' guts nature of some of the very best Zombie movies.
