Jonathan Liebesman To Direct Clash Of The Titans 2
The horror director confirmed to take over from Louis Leterrier.
Jonathan Liebesman has been confirmed as director of the planned sequel to Clash Of The Titans.
Louis Leterrier didn't want to return as director, following the critical mauling the remake received earlier this year. Despite the derided 3D, the film raked in a good amount at the box office, which means that stars Sam Worthington and Gemma Arterton are back for another adventure.
After starting his career with crappy horrors such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and Darkness Falls, Liebesman is soon to break out with Battle: Los Angeles. After seeing extended footage of his post-alien invasion military drama, I'm convinced he's finally on to a winner.
Now, of course, unless he pulls something special out of the bag and resists the studio interference Leterrier had to endure, he'll be set to undo that good work. At least Clash 2 will be filmed in 3D this time, instead of suffering a rushed conversion.
