Iron Man 3 To Start Production In May, Will Shoot In China
A release date of May 3rd, 2013 is being eyed for Tony Stark's latest adventure.
With Marvel fever going through the roof at the moment thanks to a little film you may have heard of, known as Avengers Assemble, being released in just over a week, Disney have made a timely announcement that Iron Man 3 is set to start filming in the States in the next few weeks, before moving production to China. A release date of May 3rd, 2013 is being eyed.
A co-production with China’s DMG Entertainment, Iron Man 3 sees Jon Favreau replaced as director by Shane Black, who has worked with Robert Downey Jr before in the slick thriller Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Returning to star alongside Downey Jr are Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle, as Pepper Potts and Rhodey.
With the recent news that Sir Ben Kingsley has been cast as the villain, the new entry being filmed in China would seem to lend credence to thoughts that the bad guy this time around will be the Mandarin. We look forward to seeing how the various heroes’ solo projects work out, post-Avengers, but for now let’s just sit back and enjoy the trailer for the main event again.
