How To Train Your Dragon Sequel News
Dean DeBlois as solo director, with Jay Baruchel and the cast set to return.
Dreamworks Animation have announced news of their sequel to How To Train Your Dragon, this year's huge hit.
Critically acclaimed and loved by cinema goers, everyone fell in love with Toothless the dragon and Hiccup the sensitive Viking boy. All the voice cast are set to return for the follow-up, namely Jay Baruchel, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, TJ Miller and Kristen Wiig.
While the first was directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, this time DeBlois is solely directing and writing, adapting another of Cressida Cowell's books.
He said in a statement: "Nothing could be more exciting for me than being charged with carrying this story forward, into the unknown reaches of Hiccup and Toothless' ever-expanding world. Ambitions are high with this epic next chapter, and together with an incredible team of filmmakers, we plan to build upon How to Train Your Dragon's originality, boldness and heart, in hopes of once again touching audiences around the world."
The sequel is due out in 2013.
