Hayden Panettiere, Nikki Reed For Downers Grove
Bret Easton Ellis writes screenplay, Prom Night director on board for the horror.
The lead actresses have been announced for Downers Grove, a new horror from Prom Night director Nelson McCormick.
Heroes star Hayden Panettiere will play a student at a school where one of the senior class dies bizarrely each year just before they graduate. She's joined by Twilight star Nikki Reed, with Rebecca De Mornay also cast in the film.
None other than Bret Easton Ellis has adapted the screenplay from Michael Hornberg's 2001 novel. Some chap from Myriad Pictures told Variety: "The combination of the thriller genre, a very popular and well-known cast, Bret Easton Ellis' dynamic screenplay and Nelson McCormick's incredible skill with young actors and ability to create tension and terror on-screen is just unbeatable."
