First Photo From Cowboys & Aliens!
Okay, so it's only a back-lit costume shot, but it's something.
Jon Favreau knows all about getting us geeks worked up into a sweat, so he's released the first production shot from Cowboys & Aliens.
He put this back-lit, shadowy shot of an unidentified cowboy on his Twitter, just as a little teaser for the movie, which begins filming this summer. See below for the hi-res image.
It's probably a costume test, and not of one of the stars, which include Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Paul Dano, Sam Rockwell and Clancy Brown (can't wait for the meltdown when that happens). The film is based on Scott Mitchell Rosenberg's comic book of the same name, which sees aliens invading the wild west. Head guy on Lost, Damon Lindelof, is one of the scripters, and Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are producing. Heavenly.
Favreau's Iron Man 2 is currently sitting pretty at the top of the US box office for a second week, with Robin Hood unable to make a dent.
