First Of Sorcerer’s Apprentice Posters
Disney will be revealing character descriptions and poster art for the new Nicolas Cage film.
One of the films I'm looking forward to this summer is The Sorcerer's Apprentice, not least because it gives us another look at a slightly bonkers Nicolas Cage.
The star of the recent Bad Lieutenant tones it down for his role in this fantasy adventure, where he plays a modern-day sorcerer who needs a young apprentice. That would be Jay Baruchel, who has hidden potential. Together they must get through training and save New York from an evil Alfred Molina.
Disney are going to be releasing character posters and descriptions every day this week, adn we start with Gregory Woo's Sun Lok.
Sun Lok (Gregory Woo) is an ancient, but perpetually young, Chinese sorcerer and Morganian. When he’s unlocked from his Grimhold by Horvath, Sun Lok wreaks havoc in Chinatown during a lively festival by materializing a fearsome fire-breathing dragon. “Sun Lok has been in a little container for thousands and thousands of years, and when he’s let out, he’s really, really angry,” says Woo.
The Sorcerer's Apprentice is directed by Jon Turteltaub and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, aka 'the man with the golden gut'. Catch it in cinemas from 11th August!
