Director Tony Scott Dies
RIP Tony Scott, director of Top Gun, The Last Boy Scout and Enemy of the State.
Hollywood director Tony Scott has died aged 68.
The filmmaker had a career in commercials and television before making the move to the big screen, where he gave us such movies as Beverly Hills Cop II, The Last Boy Scout, True Romance, Crimson Tide, Enemy of the State, Spy Game, Domino, The Taking Of Pelham 123 and Unstoppable.
Much like his brother Ridley, Scott was also a successful producer, getting behind several younger filmmakers, and was even looking into the possibility of a Top Gun sequel. Police are treating his death as a possible suicide, but it’s not our place to discuss the details of the case, and so we simply wish to signal our respect for a fine filmmaker taken tragically from the world.
Our thoughts go out to including wife Donna and their two children, and all his friends and family, at this difficult time. RIP Tony Scott.
