Cillian Murphy For I’m.mortal?
The Inception star is in negotiations to appear in Andrew Niccol's latest sci-fi film, along with Justin Timberlake.
Cillian Murphy is looking to join the cast of I'm.mortal, the new sci-fi film from Gattaca director Andrew Niccol.
He's in final negotiations to star alongside Amanda Seyfried and a yet-to-be-confirmed Justin Timberlake in this futuristic tale. The aging gene has been switched off and humans can now live forever. Population control is solved by time becoming the new currency - rich, and you get a long life, poor, and you have to struggle for your precious time.
Timberlake, soon to be seen in The Social Network, is set to play a poor man who comes into a fortune, and therefore more time. When the authorities become suspicious of his newfound wealth, he kidnaps Seyfried's heiress and does a runner. Inception star Murphy will hopefully play a Timekeeper, a group of officers who enforce everyone's alloted time.
Filming is due to start in September, presumably following Murphy's role opposite Thandie Newton in The Retreat.
