Chloe Moretz To Play Emily Strange
The goth/punk iconic character to hit the big screen with Hit Girl starring.
Chloe Moretz has been cast as Emily Strange in the long-planned adaptation of iconic creation.
A heroine for the Hot Topic crowd, the cartoon counterculture chick is the creation of skateboarder Rob Reger. Universal now have the rights to the character, and will recruit a writer and director ASAP.
The Hollywood Reporter thinks the plot will chart the Emily's origins and that of her four cats. Moretz has had an amazing year thanks to her scene-stealing role as Hit Girl in Kick-Ass, and it's set to get even better with the release of the raved-about Let Me In this November.
