Bob Hoskins has joined the cast of Transmission.
It's a rare sci-fi role for the British acting legend, who'll be starring alongside Jason Flemyng, Willem Dafoe and Talulah Riley. The 3D film sees Earth attacked by aliens during a solar eclipse, and who is being lined up to direct? Battlefield Earth's Roger Christian.
Following his involvement in one of the worst films in history, Christian has been working on an apocalyptic lost civilisation affair, Prisoners of the Sun. He's now in talks to helm Transmission, according to Movieline.
