Ben Affleck In Talks For Justice League
The Town director set to meet with Warner Brothers execs in the next few days.
Big news on the other superhero ensemble movie of 2015 today, with Warner Brothers apparently in talks with Ben Affleck to take the directing job on DC’s Justice League.
Gangster Squad writer Will Beall’s script has been sent to Affleck, who is due to meet with studio executives in the near future. Variety are reporting that the Gone Baby Gone and The Town director, who was considered for the upcoming Zach Snyder Superman reboot Man of Steel, may be the man for the job.
Wrangling Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern into a cohesive film is one hell of a challenge, but then many fans had similar worries about Joss Whedon’s The Avengers, and that turned out pretty well.
Of course, it is still very early days on this project, and we’re sure there will be more twists and turns as the film develops, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything.
