Amanda Seyfried Cast In I’m.mortal
Gattaca and S1m0ne creator Andrew Niccol gets one of his leads.
We reported back in April that Truman Show writer Andrew Niccol had his new sci-fi script I'm.mortal picked up, and now he has his leading lady.
Amanda Seyfried, who is managing to carve herself a nicely varied career since stealing our hearts in Mean Girls, will play a hostage in a world where aging can be halted at 25. To contain the population, the genetic altering is only available to the very wealthy. For everyone else, time has become the most valuable currency there is.
One of those plebeians is accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, and goes on the run, taking Seyfried hostage.
Niccol will direct his own script, having had success with the equally futuristic S1m0ne and Gattaca. Seyfried is currently filming Red Riding Hood with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke.
