The A-Team UK Premiere Report

The A-Team rolled into Leicester Square in style last night for the UK premiere.

Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, Liam Neeson and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson arrived at the Empire cinema in the A-Team van, much to the delight of the London crowd. Piling out of the side to pose for the photographers, they soon got to work meeting the screaming hordes.

While the boys were doing press, their gorgeous co-star Jessica Biel arrived. Playing a no-nonsense Department of Defense Captain among the riotous team, she returned to glamour for the red carpet to be one of the friendliest stars of the night.

Former wrestler Quinton kept up the mean and moody persona formed for his part as BA Baracus - didn't witness him breaking into a smile once - although he was very thorough in signing for the hundreds that lined the square. The normally reserved Liam Neeson (Hannibal) was on good form, pleasing the crowds more than he was expected to. District 9 breakout star Sharlto Copley proved why he was the perfect choice to play Howlin' Mad Murdock, having a whale of a time at his first big UK premiere.

However, the real hero of the night was Bradley Cooper, the best thing in The A-Team as the ultra-charming Face. The Hangover star was responsible for most of the squealing masses that were assembled, and he lived up to his burgeoning heart-throb status by working the crowd Tom Cruise-style. Despite the demands made on him, he made sure he was there for nearly all of the fans, leaving us wondering if he even made it into the cinema. Posing for photos with anyone that wanted one, Bradley was all smiles as he cheerfully greeted the throngs.

The special guests represented both ends of the celebrity spectrum. It was a delight to see Neeson's Schindler's List nemesis Ralph Fiennes turn up, escorting In The Loop and Pirates of the Caribbean star Tom Hollander. But then we had Z-listers like Katie Price's husband Alex Reid, milking his tenuous link with Quinton (they both did fighty stuff for a living), and some X-Factor types (Olly Murs).

Director Joe Carnahan was naturally pleased to present his film, which despite receiving mixed reviews, was obviously ridiculously fun to make. The A-Team is released today, 28th July, and is recommended for the awesome chemistry between the gang. Not that recommended are my rubbish photos from last night, but scroll down for some great red carpet interviews at the bottom!
